Who we are
We are an evangelical and deliverance, non-denominational, spirit-filled worldwide mission with the ultimate goal as ordained to deliver the oppressed and proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ to the world and win souls to the coming Paradise -the Kingdom of Heaven.
Tenets of Faith
We believe the Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, to be the inspired Word of God, guided by the Holy Spirit for all Christians – the followers of Christ’s Doctrine.
The Holy Scriptures
We believe in the divine inspiration of the Holy Scriptures, as contained in the Old and New Testaments of the Bible, as the sole revelation of the mind and will of God, and we accept them in their original form as the divine Word of God. The Scriptures in their original form, both the Old and New Testament are Holy Spirit inspired and are infallible truth, containing no contradiction or error. They are canonized andit is the final authority for Christian faith, doctrine and life. (Acts 1:16; 2 Tim.3:16; 2 Pet.1:20-21). (Matt 5:18; John 17:17; Rom.10:17; 15:4; 1 Cor.10:11; 2:13; James 1:21). The Old Testament was endorsed by Jesus Christ as God’s Word which He has come to also fulfil . The New Testament is not a contradiction of the Old Testament, but a culmination of Old Testament truth (Matt.5:17; Luke 4:17-21; 24:27, 44; John 5:39; 1 Cor.14:37; 2 Pet.3:15-16).
The Godhead
God is Spirit – infinite, eternal, uncreated and unchangeable in His being or attributes. In Him all things have their source, support and end (John 4:24; Ps.102:25-27; Gen.1:1,26; John 1:1-3; Heb.1:1-3; Col.1:15-17). There is one true God who has a plural nature – the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit – all distinct personalities, all designated God (John1:1,18,14; Heb.1:8; Acts 5:3,4). The Bible does not teach that there are three Gods, but upholds the doctrine of the Trinity – one God who reveals Himself in three persons – equal in power and glory (Gen.1:26-27;
Matt.3:16, 17; 28:19; Acts 10:38; 1 Cor.12:4-11).
God The Father
We believe that there is but one Sovereign God, omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent, who is the Creator and Sustainer of all things, visible and invisible, revealed in three persons; the Trinity – Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We believe in God the Father, the immortal God, the Potentate and the Ancient of Days, whom we have all been sinned against, and now been reconciled to through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ His begotten son upon the Cross. And because of Jesus Christ, we too can now call God “Father.” He is the Father of all Christians in an intimate relationship and only those who have received Jesus Christ can be called His children in a redemptive sense ( Mal. 2:10; Acts 17:28; John 1:1-13; 3:16; 8:41-44; 17:3; 20:17).
The Lord Jesus Christ
We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ that He died for our sins by shedding His Blood on the Cross, was buried and on the third day rose back to life to fulfil the Scripture, and that He ascended to heaven and is now seated at the right hand of the Father. We believe that He is the eternal Son of God, for whom and by whom all things were created. Jesus Christ is the Son of God and the Saviour of the world. He is the virgin-born of the Holy Spirit, and He is the Only Begotten of the Father, the First Born. These titles declare His deity. As God He existed eternally and will exist forever (John 1:1-3, 18; 17:5; Heb.1:2-12; 13:8). By taking on the form of man, Jesus is the Word that became flesh. (John 1:14, 8; Isa.7:14; Matt.1:18-25). Jesus Christ lived a sinless life on earth; teaching, preaching and performing miracles with divine authority (Matt. 16:13, 16; Philip.2:5-8; 1 Tim.2:5; Heb.2:14-18; 4:15; 2 Cor.5:21; Matt.4:23, 24; Acts 2:22). Jesus fulfilled God’s plan in history. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried. On the third day was resurrected. Christ died for all and rose physically from the dead (1 Cor.15:3, 4, 14-21; Luke 24:6, 39; Acts 4:33; Rom.1:4; 5:10; 8:11). After His resurrection He ascended to the Father in heaven to be at the right hand of the Father. He is alive forevermore in His resurrected body and exalted position, representing us before the throne of God as our High Priest and Advocate (1Tim.3:16; Mark 16:19; Philip.3:20-21; Rom.8:34; Heb.4:14-16; 7:24-25).
The Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit is a divine person, the third person of the Holy Trinity, Who proceeds from the Father (Romans 8:11-16; Luke 1:35; 1 Cor.2:10, 11; 2 Cor.13:14). The clear distinctive and unique unshakable teachings of Scripture is that the Holy Spirit is personal and is God. He is not an impersonal force, nor a mere influence, but possesses full, distinct personality (John 14:16, 26; 16:7, 8; Acts 13:2, 4; 1 Cor.12:11; Eph.4:30).
The Creation and Fall of Mankind
All people have been created equally and in the image of God, irrespective of race, ethnicity, colour, gender, age, language, religion, culture or class (Gen.1:26-28; 3:20; Prov.22:2; Acts 10:34, 35; 17:26, 27; James 3:9; Col.3:10, 11; Gal.3:28). God created humankind in His own image, but that image has been marred by sin. Humankind was given a free will and through Satan’s temptation sinned and fallen from original righteousness , thereby incurring the penalty of death, both physical and spiritual. All human beings inherit adamic sinful nature. (Gen.3: 1-13: Rom.5:12; Eph.2:1-3). All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God – therefore humankind is in a lost sinful unrighteous state (Isa.53:6; Rom.3:9-12, 23; 1Cor.15:21, 22; Gal.3:22). Sin is humankind’s fallen condition evident in human character, will, thoughts, attitudes or acts. It is pride, self-willed rebellion against God (Dan.9:5, 8, 9; James 2:8-11; 4:17; Rom.14:23; 1 John 3:4; 5:17; Matt.6:12).
The Salvation of Humankind
Jesus Christ gave His life as a sacrifice and ransom for all (1 Cor.15:3; Matt.20:28; 1 Tim.2:3-6). His precious blood was shed on the cross for the atonement of our sins. Through His death people can obtain the forgiveness and remission of sins; washing and cleansing from unrighteousness; justification and pardon from the guilt of transgressions (Gal.3:13, 14; 1 Pet.1:18, 19; 2:24; Col.1:13, 14; Rom.3:22-26; 5:8-11, 17-19; Titus 3:4-7; 1 John 2:2; 3:8; Rev.12:10, 11). We as humans, are not saved by works; by trying to keep the Law or the Ten Commandments; by personal merits or by self-efforts (Isa.64:6; Rom.3:20, 28; Gal.2:16; Titus 3:5). Salvation is by grace, the free gift of eternal life from God to all those who believe in Christ. It is received by faith in the crucified and risen Saviour, resulting in the supernatural work of the new birth, which is essential to make the repentant sinner a complete new creation in Christ Jesus and a child of God (Eph.2:8, 9; Gal.3:26; Rom.6:23; 10:9, 10; 2 Cor.7:10; 5:17; John 3:3-5, 16; 1:12, 13; 1 John 5:1).
Satan
The devil is a fallen being cast down from heaven because of his transgression and rebellion (Isa.14:12-17; Rev.12;9). He initiated the downfall of man and he is the real enemy of Christians (children of God); and together with his fallen angels and demons seek to deceive, tempt, afflict, oppress and destroy humankind. The believer, however, has been given authority over them in the Name of Jesus Christ. The Devil, through various forms of deception now seeks to destroy the faith of every believer in the Lord Jesus Christ and to hinder the further spread of the Gospel of salvation through Jesus Christ (John 8:44; Luke 10:17-20; Acts 10:38; Eph. 6;11, 12; James 4:7; 1Pet. 5:8, 9; 1 John 3:8;
Rev. 12:7-17).
The Angels
We believe that God Almighty created the Angels. We believe that Angels are not to be worshipped but knowing about them and what they do will increase our thanksgiving to the Lord of Hosts – Rev. 22:9; Col. 2:8. The Lord makes His Angels spirits and his ministers a flame of fire – Heb.1:7. We believe that Angels are spirit beings – Heb. 1: 14 and as spirits, Angels are not bound by natural human laws, and can do anything that God Almighty send them to do. Acts 12: 7- 9; Acts 5: 19; Judges 13: 13-20. Angels can travel great distances quickly and are wiser than men – 2 Sam.14:20, The Angels of God have wisdom to know all things that are in the earth. Angels are very strong – Psalms 103:20. For example, one Angel as commanded by God killed one hundred and eighty five Assyrian soldiers in one night – 2Kings.19:35. One Angel thwarted the power of Rome, broke the seal and rolled away the stone from the Lord’s tomb – Matt.28:2-4. Angels are immortal – Luke 20:35-36. Angels are innumerable – Rev. 5:11; Heb.12:22; Matt.26:53.
“And he said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto you, hereafter you shall see heaven opened, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man.” John1:51.
“I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.” Rev.22:16 (and many more from the scriptures). We believe that with these great statistics that Angels possess, any born again child of God is superior to Angels. They are ministering spirit and are to take care of us – Heb.1:14. In fact, one day we shall judge Angels – 1Cor.6:3, that is if we remain true to the Lord to the end. Otherwise, they will help to throw us in hell fire.
Justification by Faith
We believe that it is impossible to attain salvation through self-effort, but that through simply believing in the atoning death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ and in acting out that faith through receiving Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour, we receive the remission of all our sins, reconciliation with God and the gift of eternal life. We hold that the believer has an eternal salvation secured in Christ.
Holy Spirit Baptism
We believe in the first Baptism (the Holy Spirit Baptism) which is mandatory for every believer, and attainable through genuine repentance and total surrendering to Christ Jesus the Saviour after the confession, remission and forgiveness of sins. Genuine repentance leads to salvation and come from the Holy Spirit. Genuine repentance is a physical manifestation through the Holy Spirit to forsake sin and remain pure. The baptism in the Holy Spirit is an experience distinct and subsequent to the new birth (Titus 3:5; John 3:5, 6; 14:16, 17; Acts 8:14-17; 19:2). The new birth is the work of regeneration that the Holy Spirit executes, by which He then endue and empower the believer. Jesus baptizes in the Holy Spirit and according to His command all believers are entitled to and should expect the Promise of the Father through the Holy Spirit Baptism, and this was also the normal experience of Christians in the Church of the early days (Matt.3:11; Acts 1:4, 5; 2:38-39; 11: 15-16). Through baptism in the Holy Spirit believers are empowered and equipped for life and service; and with it comes the bestowment of the supernatural gifts of the Spirit and their uses in the work of the ministry (Mark 16:17; Acts 1:8; 1Cor.12:4-11). The baptism of the Holy Spirit is witnessed by the initial physical sign of speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance (Acts 2:4; 10:44-46; 19:6).
Water Baptism
Water baptism is a direct commandment of our Lord and we believe in fulfilling this command of Jesus to baptize believers into the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit and that this baptism is symbolic of our death, burial and resurrection with the Lord Jesus Christ in His redemptive work on the Cross. Scripture requires that all who have become genuine disciples through repentance and faith in Christ as Saviour and Lord are to be baptized in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Baptism is by immersion of water and is for genuine believers only (Matt 28:19; Acts 2:38, 39; 8:36-39; 16:31-33). The ordinance of baptism is an act of obedience; a symbol of the Christian’s identification with Christ in His death, burial and resurrection; a declaration that the believer has died with Christ and has been raised with Him to walk in newness of life; a public confession of the new believer’s faith in Christ; and the answer of a good conscience toward God (Matt.3:13-17; Rom.6:3-5; Col.2:12; 1 Pet.3:21)
Sanctification
The Scriptures demand a life of holiness. We believe it is the glorious privilege of every believer in Christ to be made pure in heart and wholly sanctified by the operation of the Holy Spirit through the blood of Christ and the Word of God. A believer cannot be justified by works, but through evidences of justification empowered by the Holy Spirit. Believers are called to separation and consecration unto God (1 Pet. 1:14-16; 1Thes.3:12, 13; 4:3-7; 5:23; Heb. 12:14). Sanctification is a definite, yet progressive work of grace, commencing at the new birth and continuing throughout the life of the Christian (1Cor. 1:2; 6:11; Heb. 10:10, 14; Philip. 3:12-14; 2Cor. 3:18; 1 John 3:2, 3). Sanctification is an act of purification and separation from that which is evil; and of dedication unto God (2Cor. 7:1; Eph. 4:22-24; 2 Tim. 2:21-22). Sanctification is realized in the life of believers by recognizing and identifying with Christ in His death and resurrection through the work of grace by faith in offering oneself continually to the dominion of the Holy Spirit and the Word of God (1Cor. 1;30; Rom. 6:11-14, 18-22; Gal. 5:16-25; John 17:17; James 1:21).
Divine Healing and Miracles
We believe in the Healing power of God and the manifestations of miracles, signs and wonders. There were miracles performed by the prophets of God in the Old and New Testament Bible. In the New Testament, Jesus Christ performed astounding miracles, the same feat of which were also done by His Disciples after his ascension to Heaven till this day. God’s wonder manifestations as recorded in the Bible can range from defeat to victory, sickness to healing, poverty to abundant riches, barrenness to fruitfulness, failure to success, death to life and many more! Only very few references here: Exodus14:26-28, 2Kings19:35, Exodus7: 8-13, Joshua10: 12-14, Exodus16:9-15, Exodus17: 1-7, Exodus19:18, John11:38-44, 1Chronicles4 : 10, Mark10 : 46-52, Matthew21: 18-22, Matthew17: 24-27, Matthew14:26-33, Mark6:32-44, John2: 1-11, John5: 1-9, Act3:1-10.
The New Testament has made full provision for the physical healing and health. It is the privilege of believer today (Ex. 23:25; Isa.53:4, 5; Matt. 8:16, 17; 1 Pet. 2:24; Gal. 3:13, 14; Luke 10:9). Healing is for physical illness of the human body and is wrought by God’s power through the Holy Spirit in different ways, like laying on of hands; the prayer of faith; anointing with oil; or the gifts of healing through Holy Mantles as Apostle Paul did by the use of Aprons etc. (Mark 16:17, 18; 6:13; Acts 28:8, 9; James 5:14-16; 1Cor. 12:9). Miracles are supernatural works, signs or wonders of the unchangeable God and are possible in the present day (Mark 16:17-20; John 14:12; Acts 6:8; 8:6; 1Cor. 12:10; Rom. 15:18, 19; 2Cor. 12:12).
Communion
The Lord’s Supper is the regular partaking of the emblems of the bread and the cup as symbolic of the Saviour’s broken body and the shed blood. We believe, therefore, in accordance with the command of the Lord Jesus, that those that have been sanctified should celebrate this ordinance in remembrance of the atoning work of Christ and as an act of fellowship together. In following this ordinance, believers are remembering the Lord Jesus Christ; proclaiming His death; giving thanks for the benefits of his broken body and shed blood; expressing their communion with Him and one another; celebrating His resurrection; and anticipating His return (Matt.26:26-29;
1Cor.10:16,17; 11:23-32).
The Ministry
Every Christian is a priest ordained as a minister or servant to serve God and one another through love; and also a steward – to profitably use the trust granted by God to fulfil the labour of love in God’s kingdom (Rev. 1:6; Heb. 10:19-22; 13:15,16; 6:10; 1Pet. 2:5,9: 4:10,11; Eph. 4:7,12; 2:10; Matt.25:14) The ascended Christ has given various ministries to the Church – apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers – which are essential to equip the saints for the work of the ministry and build up the Body of Christ (Eph.4:11, 12; 1Cor.12:28; Rom.12:4-13).
The Gifts of the Spirit
We believe in the empowering of the Holy Spirit for the present day operation of the Kingdom works as described in 1 Corinthians 12:7-11. Believers should possess and demonstrate these gifts in Christ’s ministry.
The Church
We believe in the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ, made up of all who have believed on the Lord Jesus and received the salvation of the Cross, and that this Church will come to the full expression of unity that can only be found in the Gospel of Jesus Christ according to His desire for Christians. (John 17). The one true Church God desires is the whole company of all believers who have been called out of sin and the world, redeemed by Jesus Christ and regenerated by the Holy Spirit. This is the universal Church that includes all true believers from all nations and all generations. Jesus Christ is the Head of the Church, the first born over all creation and each Christian is an integral part of the general assembly of Christ’s Church on earth. (Colossians 1:15, 18; Rev. 1: 15; Matt.16:16-19; Eph.4:3-6; 1Pet. 2:5, 9, 10; Heb.12:23). The Bible describes Church in different terms: the Body of Christ, His Bride, the family of God, the building and habitation God (Eph.1:22, 23; 2Cor. 11:2; Eph. 5:25-27; 3:15; 2:19-22). On earth the Church is a visible company of believers voluntarily fellowshipping together in a given locality. The local Church on earth takes its character from the conception of Jesus doctrine of one unique universal Church (Matt. 18:15-17; 1Cor. 1:2; Heb.10:24, 25). Therefore, the essentials of Church membership are the new birth and personal confession of faith in Christ as personal Lord and Saviour. It is not merely the attending of Church services or having a name on the membership list that makes one a member or an integral part of Christ’s true Church. Only the transforming work of the Holy Spirit in the heart of the repentant sinner qualifies one for membership in the Body of Christ (Acts 2:38-41, 47; Eph. 2:13, 18, 19). The Scripture teaches that the Church membership shall be subject to submission to authority in matters pertaining to Church governance, Bible doctrine and personal behaviour. (Heb.13:17; 1Thes.5:12, 13; 1Pet.5:2-5). The primary mission of the Church is to be a representative and also agency of God for evangelising the world as joint heirs of Christ body bringing praise and worship to God the Father; to be a gathering where the saints can be perfected and edified in the image of God’s Son; to be a demonstration of God’s love and goodness to all; to be a foundation upholding God’s wisdom and truth; to be a foundation and catalyst of constructive social change and justice in the community, ministering to the poor and oppressed; and to be an instrument as God’s Army on earth enforcing Satan’s defeat through God’s power (Matt.28:19, 20; Acts 1:8; Eph.1:6, 12,14; 4:11-16; 3:10; Gal.5:13,14; 6:9, 10; 1Tim. 3:15; Matt. 25:35-40; Acts 20:35; Rom. 16:20). The Church is a whole Gospel for the whole Christian life and Christ Church on earth should strive to be the desired veritable sanctified church that Jesus hope to meet on earth on His return as the King of the world.
The Unity of the Body of Christ
We believe in the indivisible unity of the Body of Christ, established solely upon the foundation of the Gospel of Christ. We believe that God is bringing His Body into a practical expression of unity, as described in John 17:20-23 and Ephesians 4:13
The Ministry of Every Believer
The Church of Christ on earth is also the ministry of every believer. We believe that every believer, regardless of race, gender or educational status, is called by God to participate in His glorious purpose. We are all joint heirs in the ministry of Jesus Christ on earth, even if we have a secular work, each believer has a unique divine ability and mix of ministry gifts, as determined
by the Holy Spirit.
The Return of Christ
We believe in the physical second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ, returning as He ascended, with power and majesty, to judge the dead and the living. Those not found in the Book of Life will be consigned to everlasting separation from God, described in the Scriptures as the Second Death. Those found in the Book of Life will enter into the glorious presence of God.
